TIMES JOMBANG, JAKARTA – As a sleep disorder, insomnia has taken our concern especially when it goes too far. Though we realize it but sometimes we were just too afraid to take a step further to solve. But who knows that house plants could be the solution for this issue?

Yes, several plants you usually use for your perfume will work better in tackling insomnia issue. Those plants are not hard to find. It grows around your area and quite easy to get. So, what are those plants that said could cure your insomnia? Let's check it out. 

1. Lavender

Putting lavender in your room might become one of so many solutions you can get for insomnia. The nice smell of the flower will help you relax and fall asleep faster. 

Or you could just take lavender oil and spray it on your bedroom. Several studies also show that using lavender oil for aromatherapy can improve sleep quality.

2. Chamomile

Chamomile has been known as a mild tranquillizer and sleep-inducer. This plant works effectively either when you just put it on the corner of your bedroom, having it as tea before you sleep, or aroma therapy. 

A study towards a rat shows that chamomile helped the rodents sleep faster than they should. Some herbalist has also used these plants to be prescribed to their patients and found it so helpful.

3. Rosemary

A study in 2017 on rosemary towards insomnia proves that rosemary could help reduce some symptoms of anxiety and depression as well improve sleep quality. The study involved students who consume 1.000-mg dose of rosemary for daily intake for a month.

Rosemary shows its therapeutic side and help the object less stress and have a better sleep. You could use it as your night tea, spray or herbal plants situated on the corner of your bedroom.  

4. Lemon Balm

Lemon balm is a kind of mint family which is commonly used for herbal or culinary purposes. This plant has such sedative and calming effect when it being consumed. This remedy has been used since medieval times. It promotes sleep, relieves anxiety and used as a painkiller. 

5. Sansevieria

The plant which also well known as snake plant has been known to be able to help you purified the air and absorbs the toxin contain in it. You could put this plant in the corner of your bedroom and feel the different. The nice clean air will help you get a better sleep and reduce your anxiety and remove the insomnia you had all this time. (*)
